Odisha Tourism’s flagship three-month-long glamping festival will begin at five major tourist destinations in the state from 8th December 2020. With an eye on domestic tourists, the event aims at reviving the tourism sector, the worst-hit during the pandemic. After the success of first edition of Eco Retreat on Ramchandi beach in Konark from December last year, the tourism department is hosting the glamorous camping at Badmul (Satkosia), Nalitapatia (Bitarkanika), Daringibadi and Hirakud along with Ramchandi.
Tourist will be offered accommodation facilities and service in luxury tented cottages at par with 3 star category hotels during the festival that will continue till February 28.
Tourism Director Sachin Ramachandra Jadev said, “Through the event we want to convey that Odisha is now open to tourists, who can avail different packages and explore diverse tourism offerings.”
Whats Eco Retreat?
Its a festival welcoming the beauty hidden in the unexplored Odisha. A celebration of the mesmeric sea. A revelry of nature’s bountie.
When we say, “India’s Best Kept Secret” we talk about the untouched greenery, breathtaking scenics while reconnecting with nature and have a rejuvenating feeling on the nature trails. Odisha is blessed with vast stretches of pristine jungles, so put on your trekking shoes and immerse yourself in the magic of the woods.
There’s something about Odisha that sets it apart from the rest. Odisha takes you on a journey of ambrosial food, transports you to the land of the divine, its culture echoes the past but resonates with the current generation at the same time. Its wildlife manifests itself in its full glory, the monuments on this land whisper untold tales of Kalinga architecture, its beaches wash long-forgotten memories up the shores only to create new waves of thrills.
