The city’s coveted urban transport service – operating in the Capital Region of Odisha – continues to add another feather to its cap by winning yet another National Award. Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has been honoured with the Award for Excellence in Urban Transport under the category of State which has Implemented Best Urban Transport Projects during the previous year at the Urban Mobility India 2022. This is the 4th time in a row that CRUT has been bestowed with the Urban Mobility India Award.
The conference is organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India every year. On behalf of CRUT, Ms. Dipti Mahapatro, General Manager (Personnel & Administration) received the award at Kochi, Kerala. This award recognizes CRUT’s vision to provide excellence in public transit service. Through the unwavering support of the Government of Odisha, CRUT has been instrumental in mainstreaming marginalised communities by offering beneficiaries of Mo E-Ride with holistic technical and hands-on training as well as soft skills. Redefining “the way we move” at every step of the way, CRUT has been successful in setting a benchmark for the public transport service providers in the country by ensuring all its commuters “Ride with Pride”.

We are consistently making efforts to make public transit service in Odisha better and better for the people and bring in more such recognition to the State through our innovative approach”, said Shri Vijay Amruta Kulange, Managing Director, CRUT.

We are completing our 4th year and Mo Bus has already become the mobility lifeline for people in the Capital Region of Odisha. The Mo E-Ride and E-Bus have also been appreciated by commuters. The faith reposed in us by the people and the support provided at every step of the way by the State Government is something we deeply cherish.
