Artemin-Three days’ Online Art Workshop held to recall the significance of art in our lives

The significance of art in our lives was emphasized during the three-day virtual art workshop organized by the Artemin Art Organization. The program was organised on the eve of the 75th Independence Day, from August 8 to August 10, 2021.

The workshop was presided by the principal of Dhauli College of Arts and Crafts and the secretary of Odisha Lalit Kala Academy Mr Panchanan Samal. While leading the online workshop, he spoke about the importance of freedom for an artist. Samal strongly opined that ‘an artist needs to be free from constraints to experiment with his creativity’.

In this program, few well-known faces from Odisha, Alok Bal, Dharmapada Biswa, Dilip Kumar Mallick, Neerja C Peter, Biswajita Moharana, Aryapragyan Basabadutta, JM Pattnaik, Raghunath Sahoo, Bedamati Majhi, Biswajit Giri, Sumitra Rani Das, Samarendra Behera, Kuldeep Ray,  Subhasmita Ghadei, and Pradepta Kishore Das were present, along with prominent artists from across states of India as guests of honour.

The three consecutive days celebrated following the field of art and the artists, discussions on painting, sculpturing and printmaking. All the guests present the program have stated that it was very well organised, conducted flawlessly, and has been a memorable experience for them throughout the session. The chairman and other team members of Artemin gave their best efforts to make this program worthwhile, and the event has turned out to be a grand success. The organisation says it was solely teamwork that bore these fruitful results.
