Preparation of traditional cake popularly known as PodaPitha is prepared for BahudaYatra tomorrow.
As per tradition, Poda Pitha is offered to the lord Jagannath, elder brother Lord Balabhadra and sister Devi Subhadra at the Mausima Mandir situated on the Grand Road during their homecoming to Shreemandira.
As per parampara, Poda Pitha is offered to Chaturdhamurti on BahudaJatra at Mausima Mandir; situated almost at middle of Bada Danda. Preparations start from Hera Panchami day by using flour,desi ghee, raisins, cloves, cardamom etc.
