While scanning the social media blogging site on Independence Day, we came across this golden moments of Ravenshaw University in Cuttack.

On this occasion, in past two years the students of the University usually catch sight of celebration on the day of independence joyfully with the huge flag march inside the campus, but this time the fellow students were found in a different attire.

The students of RU whoever had posted the picture of their unique celebration in Facebook page, gained appreciation with thousands of like. This proved that the Internet loved the concept of the students this year.

However, in the present year, uniqueness was that the girls made a rowdy march with bullet, wearing saree in a Marathi look wore pagdi on head, and the boys were spot in kurta-payijama.

This shows that “chori choro se kam nehi” women are not less capable than men, they can also share their shoulders and walk together each step with men.

Also the melodious drums sounds, the colourfull rangoli play were noticed in the the campus.

And in the dark time the sparkling of colourful decorative light, hanging on the red empire, attracted to the eyes of the passersby.

RU is one of the oldest educational institutes in the country, heart of the Cuttack and its history is synonymous with the history of modern Odisha.

Best part is the red empire has its own radio ( Ravenshaw Radio 90.4 MHz ) is known as Odisha’s first campus community radio station (CRS), had made its  broadcasting  from April 2011 onwards.
